We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join an award winning architecture practice in London.
Working closely with Partners, senior leadership and the wider work-winning team, you'll take ownership of high value bids from initial opportunity through to submission, while helping shape the practice's wider bidding strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading complex submissions, mentoring others and playing a key role in winning exciting new work.
The Role
This is a varied and influential role within an established Marketing & Bids team.
You'll manage the end to end bid process across a diverse portfolio of work, collaborating with senior stakeholders to produce compelling, high quality submissions while supporting the continuous development of the bids function.
Alongside leading major bids, you'll oversee the workload of the wider Bids Team, helping drive best practice, improve processes and contribute to the practice's long term work winning strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end to end bid process from opportunity through to submission.
- Produce high quality, visually engaging bid documents using Adobe InDesign.
- Work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders to develop winning bid strategies and presentations.
- Manage the day to day workload of the Bids Team, providing guidance and support where required.
- Develop compelling written content, ensuring submissions are clear, consistent and tailored to each opportunity.
- Maintain and develop the bid library, including project information, CVs and supporting materials.
- Monitor bid performance, analysing wins and losses to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Track new opportunities and communicate these across the business.
- Drive improvements to bid processes, systems and ways of working.
- Collaborate closely with the wider Marketing and Business Development team to support the practice's work-winning objectives.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing the full bid lifecycle within architecture, design, engineering or the wider built environment.
- Experience leading or mentoring a bids team.
- Excellent bid writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Advanced Adobe InDesign skills.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, frameworks and public sector submissions.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders across a business.
- Proactive, collaborative and highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
