The Role
We are working with a globally recognised, design-led architecture practice to appoint a Director of Design Technology & Innovation within its London studio. This is a senior leadership role with influence across the entire practice — an internationally active studio delivering complex, large-scale commercial, residential and mixed-use projects at a global level.
At a pivotal moment in its evolution, the practice is placing significant focus on how technology, data and emerging tools are embedded into design, delivery and the wider business. This represents a genuine opportunity to shape how a leading studio operates — not just technically, but strategically and commercially.
In this role, you will take full ownership of design technology strategy across the practice, defining how digital tools, AI and workflows are integrated into everyday project delivery. Working closely with senior leadership, you will act as a central voice in how the studio approaches innovation, performance and its long-term direction — influencing how projects are designed, delivered and won across international markets.
The ideal candidate will be operating at Director or senior leadership level within design technology, computational design or a closely related discipline. A background in architecture is essential, alongside a proven track record of leading and implementing practice-wide digital strategies. Strong proficiency across tools such as Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and emerging AI workflows is expected, as is the commercial awareness to understand how technology drives efficiency and growth.
This is a role for someone who combines strategic vision with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset — a leader who can influence senior stakeholders, drive meaningful change across multiple teams and help define what the future of design looks like for a world-class practice.
